UNCOATED PC STRAND
Since 1979, Sumiden Wire has manufactured seven-wire prestressed concrete steel strand (PC strand) in the United States. We are able to offer a wide range of sizes and grades as specified in ASTM A416. With manufacturing in California, Tennessee and Texas, we are able to reliably supply your PC strand needs nationwide. EPOXY-COATED PC STRAND
Sumiden Wire manufactures ASTM A882 epoxy-coated PC strand in the same size range as uncoated PC strand. We also offer three different surface finishes depending on the required strand-to-concrete bond performance: no grit, fine grit and coarse grit. Our epoxy-coated PC strand not only covers the outside of the strand, but also all internal voids are completely filled. See our epoxy-coated strand data pages for additional information. Environmental Product Declaration for epoxy-coated PC Strand is available here.
STAINLESS STEEL PC STRAND (NEW)
Protecting structures against corrosion damage is a concern for owners across the United States. In addition to offering epoxy coated strand, Sumiden Wire is proud to be the first US PC strand manufacturer to offer high-strength, low-relaxation stainless steel PC strand. This innovative new product is produced using a duplex alloy 2205 wire rod that is melted and manufactured here in the US; therefore compliant with all Buy-America and Buy-American requirements. Environmental Product Declaration for Stainless Steel PC Strand is available here.
